Steel Strapping

Steel strapping is the most used strapping material throughout the world. It’s versatile and highly durable and resistant to environmental extremes and able to secure heavy loads better than just about anything else you can use. Treated and coated steel can also weather through rust and corrosion, as well. With its high tensile strength and resistance to stretching, steel strapping is easily the best option for securing heavy loads such as construction materials and is ideal for cross-country shipping for its resistance to strain and the outside elements.

COMPOSITE (CORD) STRAPPING

Composite cord strapping is a versatile and durable packaging material that is widely used in various industries for securing and bundling loads. It is made from polyester fibers coated with clear polypropylene, which provides added water resistance protection and improved bundling properties. Composite cord strapping is stiffer than other cord strapping, making it easy to thread through pallets. It is also less expensive and safer to use than steel and will not leave stains or rust marks.

POLYPROPLENE STRAPPING

Polypropylene strapping is a light and versatile option that is ideal for strapping and securing light loads. It can be used for bundling multiple items together, reinforcing single cartons, or palletizing light loads. Polypropylene strapping has some level of elongation, meaning it can stretch some, but it doesn't recover as well as polyester. It is ideal for light to medium applications such as unitizing, palletizing, and bundling.

SEALS & BUCKLES

There exists a wide variety of tools that you may need while working with strapping. Among them are metal buckles and seals. A strap clip, or a strapping seal, is the means to fastens the strapping together. Strapping seals come in two variations open or close. An open seal can be fitted on the strapping after the tensioning operation is complete and is typically used with polyester strapping. A closed seal must be put on before the tensioning operation can be performed and is typically used with steel strapping. Metal strap buckles are mainly used with cord strapping. Buckles do not actually form a “seal” but compress the metal buckle ends into the strapping to hold it in place.
